A little bit about Glin Castle
Glin Castle with its superb interiors and decorative plasterwork, stands proudly on the banks of the River Shannon surrounded by romantic gardens in 400-acres of woodland and dairy farm. 1. Harvest Retreat at Ballymaloe House, Co. Cork
Ballymaloe House, Co. Cork are hosting a reflective yoga and meditation retreat which will be guided by Dearbhla Glynn. The retreat will be held from September 25th – 27th 2022.
At the Harvest Retreat in Ballymaloe, enjoy the luxurious yet cosy comforts of the beautiful Ballymaloe House and its surrounding gardens (home to a family of native red squirrel!). Practice yoga with Dearbhla Glynn and be guided through mediation and movement that allows the mind and body to release stress.
The mornings will begin with a slow and thoughtful Vinyasa flow that strengthens and re- energizes the body for the day. This is followed by the renowned Ballymaloe breakfast buffet.
The afternoons will be a restful time of garden walks, plunges in the Wild Atlantic Ocean, walks on the coast, a scented soak in the bath, and curling up to the cosy fires of Ballymaloe house with a good book or nice chat with your like- minded yoga group.
The evenings are dedicated to Yin and Restorative Yoga that allow you to relax completely and get that lovely melting full body feeling only yoga can achieve. Dinners will be candlelit, cooked by chef Niamh Fox with the finest seasonal ingredients grown in Ballymaloe and bursting with flavour.

2. Samhain Retreat at Ballymaloe House, Co. Cork
Ballymaloe House, Co. Cork are hosting a yoga retreat which will be guided by Dearbhla Glynn. The retreat will be held from October 23rd – 25th 2022.
The Samhain Retreat at Ballymaloe is a retreat that ultimately nurtures mind and body through food, comforts, beauty, and the healing powers of yoga. Deep relaxation, heavenly meals and treats, luxurious accommodation, and the natural beauty of Autumn, all the ingredients needed for a blissful few days at Ballymaloe.
Through the morning meditation you will nurture quiet, stillness and peace, nourishing both the body and spirit. You will focus on strengthening the muscles by working through a lovely warming slow flow, moving through different yoga postures and transitions. This will be followed by a lovely and lovingly prepared breakfast.
The end of Autumn is a gorgeous time at Ballymaloe House and grounds, the leaves turn brilliant shades of red and gold before they finally fall from the trees. You will enjoy crisp, leaf- carpeted mindful Autumn walks around the grounds, observing nature, the light and the end of the harvest season at Ballymaloe farm. In the practice before lunch, you will enjoy some breath-work, gentle stretching and relaxing.
The afternoons and evenings are for resting, maybe taking a plunge into the sea and a walk along the beach, cosying up by the fires in Ballymaloe house, reading a book or having a soak in your bathtub.
The evening practice will relish in the wonders of Yin yoga, opening tired and stiff joints and eventually moving towards deep relaxation as we hold restorative poses, which calms the body, mind and the nervous system.
