Irish Coffee Recipe from Aherne's Townhouse
Ingredients:
Good quality coffee
2 teaspoons Soft brown Demerera sugar
1 measure of Irish Whiskey
Dessertspoon of softly whipped double cream
Method:
Use a heavy glass about the size of a small wine glass
Heat the glass with boiled water (put a teaspoon in to prevent the glass from breaking)
3/4 fill the glass with freshly brewed coffee
Add 2 teaspoons sugar & stir to melt completely
Add whiskey measure & stir add more coffee to leave half an inch free
Use a heated teaspoon to gently add cream little by little
